Recorded from northern Taiwan (including Tung-hsiao, Tai-chung, and Chang-hwa) (Ref. 43515); collected from mangrove creeks in Chu-Wei and Chu-Nan (Ref. 48455). Also known from the Penghu Islands (Ref. 43515, 55073). In rivers, populations have significantly decreased in the past decade (Ref. 54416).
